DKP Rules

DKP System

There is a separate DKP table for each tier of instances.
Example:
T11: Blackwing Descent, Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds.
T12: Firelands.
T13: Dragon Soul.

DKP system is based on fixed prices. Every piece of loot has predetermined prices and the eligibility to obtain an item is determined by total amount of dkp.

Whenever a new tier is reached, the previous tier will remain unchanged; however the tiers before the previous will no longer grant DKP.

People with remaining DKP from a previous tier are free to spend it and if no one has any DKP left when a specific item drops, it is simply rolled for.

10% of the lifetime* dkp gained during previous tier is transfered to the new tier as a small token of reward for the raiders.
*(to avoid confusion pay attention to that its from lifetime gained and not what you actually have now for use thus everyone gains a little bit of dkp and everyone ends up on positive side)

Obtaining An Item

Whenever an item drops players are asked to announce their current total dkp with suffix of MS (main spec) or OS (off spec) in /raid if they are interested of the item. Player with most dkp will receive the item and fixed amount of dkp is deducted.
Example bids: 235 MS, 345 OS, 111 MS.

DKP is updated live during the raid (apart from standby dkp which is updated after the raid is over). You can check your current dkp by whispering !dkp to the current dkp handler.
Example: /w saqa !dkp

Priorities for obtaining the items are:
1. Main Spec
2. Off Spec
3. Trials
4. Alts
5. Casuals

In the event of 2 equally eligible people having the same amount of DKP, they will both be asked to /roll, with the item being awarded to the highest roller for the fixed price.

Armor Class

When piece of loot drops, loot priority of it will go to players who meet the natural armor class of the item.

Earning DKP

There are two ways to earn DKP:
- Being online and accept invitation at raid start times
- Attending a raid.
- Being in standby: Whisper to current dkp handler that you want to apply for standby dkp. During which you need to be able to join raid in short notice. You can be online on alt or reachable by ventrilo during the standby. If you decide to leave standby whisper to the dkp handler. Leaving standby without notice will result to standby dkp wipe for that raid.

DKP Awards

Being On-Time for a Raid = 10 DKP
Normal Boss kill = 10 DKP
Heroic Boss kill = 20 DKP
Progression Raid = 15 DKP/hour
Progression Heroic Raid = 20 DKP/hour
1st Time Boss Kill = 10 DKP

(a boss is considered ‘progression’ until it has been killed for the 1st time. This is true of both Normal and Harder Modes. So progressing on a heroic mode of a boss that has already been killed on normal mode will still award progression DKP)

These are used for crafted items and cost 20dkp each. (request threads can be found on the forums)

Crystallized Firestone's

Crystallized Firestone's dropped by Heroic mode bosses used to upgrade 378ilvl gear to 391ilvl cost the same as the 391 ilvl gear would for that item slot.
When receiving the Crystallized Firestone player will be asked for what piece of gear the upgrade is for.

Example1: DKP cost for upgrading neck piece with Crystallized Firestone would cost 120 DKP as that is the price for 391 ilvl neck piece.
Example2: DKP cost for upgrading 2H weapon with Crystallized Firestone would cost 400 DKP as that is the price for 391 ilvl 2H weapon.

*(if miss used double the amount of the higher item slot price will be charged. Example paying dkp for upgrading neck piece but then use the Crystallized Firestone to upgrade something else)

Dragonwrath, Teracgosa's Rest (Daggers from Dragon Soul will follow the same rules)

When one is selected by the Officers to be eligible to start gathering materials for the stage 1 staff initial charge is 200 DKP, another 200 DKP for stage 2 staff material collection and finaly upon completion of the legendary staff 300 DKP.

Legendary items

Possible legendary items are decided by officers on case by case basis.

Patterns

Rare patterns which drop from raid bosses or trash are distributed free of charge to the most active player who has the required profession.

BOE items

BoE items are distributed normally with DKP with following exceptions:
1. You need to be ranked as Core raider or higher.
2. Item have to be an upgrade.
3. Off spec boe items are only given to players who use their off spec in raids.
4. Taking boe items to sell is forbidden.
5. Ultimately officer advised.

Vanity items

Vanity items like mounts are distributed by rolling amongst players ranked Veteran Raiders and up.

Confused?

If anything is unclear or you notice something right out wrong dont hesitate to ask about immediately as then its easier to explain or fix. First person to turn to is Saqa.
