GUILD RANKS
Trial
This is the lowest rank in the guild. It is the rank given to all new recruits upon entry to the guild and it is the “trial” rank on which they will stay during the course of their evaluation period within the guild. The evaluation period can last anything from 1 week to 4 weeks, although it is usually around 2 weeks. Trials should go out of their way to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and dedication to the cause. Whilst on trial you may be given the chance to raid, however you will not be allowed to roll on any loot, unless it’s going to be disenchanted anyways.
Guild Friend
This rank is for guild friends and retired raiders etc.
PvP Team
This rank is PvP’ers and their alts.
Raider Alt
This rank is for raiders alts that are level 85
Raider
This is the first active raiding rank within the guild and is effectively the bottom rung of the raiding ladder. Any trials who pass will be promoted up to this rank. Any ‘Core Raider’ who did not meet the attendance requirements for the previous raiding reset will be demoted down to this rank.
Core Raider
This is the next active raiding rank, and is similar to a ‘Raider’ but with more benefits. This rank is earned by achieving high attendance and good performance.
Veteran Raider
This rank is the cream of the crop. To earn this rank, you must achieve both outstanding attendance and exemplary performance over a long period of time. In reward for their dedication, Veteran Raiders will have most of their flasks, buff foods, consumables and gems provided free of charge by the guild bank.
Officer Alt
This rank is for the alts of the officer team.
Officer
This rank is for the officers.
Captain
This is the rank of the guild master
PROMOTIONS AND DEMOTIONS
Guild ranks are reviewed on a fortnightly basis by the officers, and promotions and demotions are made accordingly, based on attendance, dedication and performance.
MEMBERSHIP OF OTHER GUILDS

For this reason, you are NOT allowed to have any characters in ANY other guilds.
The following exceptions are however permitted...
FORUMS
Membership of the guild’s forums is mandatory. http://www.rr-inc.net/forum/
Your account name on the guild’s forums MUST be the same name as your main character in the game.
Whilst all members are expected to check the guild’s forums on a daily basis, the minimum required is to at least visit the forums once per week.
(Forum access is monitored by the website admins)
RECRUITMENT
Public applications can be made via the recruitment thread in the public area of our forums.
Private applications can be made by emailing your application to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Successful applicants will be placed on trial.
New recruits will be given the opportunity to join some raids whilst on their trial period and thus given the opportunity to prove themselves.
Vouching for applicants...
Applicants
If you want someone in the guild to vouch for you, then you must first speak with them in order to obtain their clearance to vouch for you. (do not just name drop the names of people that you know in the guild)
Guildees
It is your responsibility to regularly check the recruitment forums. If someone mentions your name to obtain a ‘vouch’ you MUST reply to their post to either vouch yes or no.
Further information regarding the recruitment / application process can be found in the applications threads within our forums.
VENTRILO
Host: radon.typefrag.com
Port: 37019
The password to the crew quarters areas can be found in the guild information tab within the ‘info’ tab of the guild pane in the game (J). Please keep this password secret from non-guildees.
Feel free to invite your friends from outside the guild onto the ‘public’ areas of the vent server.
Non-guildees are NOT permitted in the crew quarters, unless dragged there by an officer.
The playing / streaming of music are NOT allowed on the ventrilo, except in the appropriate channels.
Being online on our Ventrilo server is compulsory for raids.
During raids you should keep any talk on ventrilo to a minimum.
During boss fights, the only people who should be speaking on ventrilo are the raid leaders and anyone who has been assigned to call something.
Spamming the ventrilo during raids will lead to you being removed from the raid, and possibly the guild as well.
REALM FORUMS and PROGRESSION
Members are forbidden from making any posts on the ravenholdt realm forums concerning the guilds raid progression. ONLY the officers of the guild are permitted to make such posts
The guilds’ PvE progression is, under no circumstances, to be discussed with anyone outside of the guild.
TRADE CHANNEL
The trade channel is only to be used as intended by Blizzard, i.e. for all ‘Trade’ related matters.
Any members found to be spamming the trade channel will be subject to removal from the guild.
ROLEPLAYING
Whilst role-playing is not required within the guild, we do ask that you respect the rules of playing on a RP server, as laid out by blizzard
http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/role-play-realm-policy
In particular, talking OOC (this includes the use of smilies) in /s and /y in capital cities is STRICTLY forbidden.
Also, players with non-RP character names are NOT permitted in the guild.
PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER
We are not a PvP oriented guild. That being said, we occasionally do PVP events, which whilst not compulsory, you are strongly urged to take part in, as it not only helps in team building but also the upkeep of guild spirit.
Players are free to PvP as much as they want outside of raid times, however be warned that any player caught “leeching” in a battleground will be subject to serious disciplinary action and ultimately, removal from the guild.
GUILD BANK
The guild bank is provided for you as a benefit of being in this guild.
Anyone found to be abusing the bank will have their guild bank access revoked, and will be subject to removal from the guild.
Examples of guild bank abuse include things like…
GENERAL BEHAVIOUR
Good behaviour is generally a matter of common sense.
Treat others as you would yourself like to be treated; listen to and respect everybody at all times.
This guild is a community and a place of friendship
The guild operates a zero tolerance policy when it comes to inappropriate behaviour.
Examples of bad behaviour includes such things as personal abuse, sexism, racism, harassment, rudeness, ignorance, arrogance, selfishness, greed, bullying.
Anybody suffering from abuse, be it verbal, textual, or any other kind please record/screenshot it and contact an Officer ASAP.
GEAR, GEMS, ENCHANTS, GLYPHS AND SPECS
Your gear should always be maintained to the highest possible available standards.
It follows that the moment you get a new piece of gear; it is your responsibility to ensure it is gemmed and enchanted immediately with the best available gems and enchants to suit your main talent spec.
(Lack of money is not a plausible excuse for failing to comply with this rule.)
Badly gemmed, or un-gemmed / un-enchanted gear is NOT acceptable.
Your talent spec should always be tuned for performing your role within the raid with the maximum possible efficiency, and it is your duty to ensure you always turn up to raids specced both as your main spec and specced correctly (PvP style specs are not allowed)
Regular spot checks are carried out by the officers, both in-game and via the armory.
RAIDING
Invites and Times
Raiding days are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday & Monday.
Raid invites are issued at 19.30 server time (ST hereafter).
Raids start at 19.30 ST and finish at 23.00 ST
You are required to attend a minimum of 3 out of 4 raids per week, although 4 is much more desirable, especially if you wish to be promoted to a higher rank than ‘Raider’.
Raid invite priority will be given based on rank.
We will not usually announce where we are raiding on any particular day.
It is your duty to make sure that you are online and ready at invites time EVERY raid day.
If for some reason you know you are going to be late, or cannot attend, you should inform an officer / raid leader immediately and also make a brief post on the AFK forums detailing your circumstances.
If you attend a raid, then you are expected to raid for the full duration of that raid.
If for some reason you need to leave the raid before the raid ends, then you should inform the raid leader at the start of the raid, so that preparations for a replacement can be made in advance in order to cause any downtime.
Meeting Stones
If you arrive early for a raid, you should wait quietly at the meeting stone and assist with the summoning of other guildees.
Whilst the management appreciate that this is a PvP server, and sometimes conflict is unavoidable, ganking of horde players at raid meeting stones during raid times is NOT permitted as this can lead to delays to raid starts.
If you are ganked at a raid meeting stone during raid times, you should inform the raid leader immediately so that they can make an appropriate judgement call as to whether to initiate a return of fire.
Preparation
It is your responsibility to turn up to raids fully prepared.
You must know the tactics for ALL currently available boss encounters in the game.
You must be fully repaired (i.e. your gear must have 100% durability)
Your bags must be fully stocked with enough consumables to last you for double the duration of the night’s raid. (eg 4 flasks, 1 stack of battle elixirs, 1 stack of guardian elixirs, 2 stacks of buff foods, and sufficient amounts of mana / health pots etc)
Your bags must be fully stocked with enough reagents to last you for double the duration of the night’s raid.
You should have enough gold to fully repair your gear at least twice.
Connection Stability
In order to raid, it is a requirement that you have a stable connection to the internet
If you suffer from disconnects during a raid, then you will be removed from the raid.
If this becomes a recurring problem, then your position within the guild will be reconsidered.
AFK
If at any time during a raid you find you need to go AFK (eg bio break, other emergency etc), then you should whisper the raid leader immediately and request permission to do so.
If you go AFK then you are keeping 24 other people waiting, so keep AFKs to a bare minimum. From time to time, the raid leader may call a short recess, so if possible, try to wait for such breaks to go for your bio breaks etc.
If you are found to be AFK during a raid without first having obtained permission from the raid leader, you will be subject to removal from the raid. If this persists, you will be removed from the guild.
If you are frequently going AFK during raids then your position within the guild will be reconsidered.
Performance
Whilst in a raid you are required to behave and perform the highest possible obtainable standards at all times.
Poor performance such as slacking, over-aggroing, failing to move from aoe’s, not buffing at all or not buffing correctly, slow curse/debuff removal etc will NOT be tolerated.
ADD-ONS
The following add-ons are MANDATORY for raiding with us…
Omen – Threat meter
DeadlyBossMods or BigWigs – Boss Timers / Warnings etc
The following add-ons are highly recommended for raiding with us...
Grid – Replacement Raid Frames
Quartz – Modular Replacement Cast Bar / Swing Timers
Decursive – Efficient Debuff Removal Interface.
RAID STATISTICS
During Raids
Healing, damage, and other such meters are NOT to be linked or posted anywhere except by an officer or at the request of an officer.
Spamming such meters in /ra, /p, /g, /s, /y or any custom class/role channel is deemed unacceptable behaviour.
After Raids
Raid statistics will be parsed and uploaded to our World of Logs account
www.worldoflogs.com/guilds/9357/
ABSENCE
If you will not be able to attend a raid, or you know you will be absent from the game for a few days, you are REQUIRED to make a brief post on the AFK forums in advance, to let the officers and raid leaders know any dates you cannot attend and the reasons for your absence.
ACCOUNT SHARING
You must never use someone else to play your account during raids.
If you are found to have played on someone else’s account, or had someone else play on your account during a raid in order without ulterior permission from an officer, you will be removed from the guild.
RE-ROLLING SPEC OR MAIN SWAPPING
Every person in the guild must have a ‘Main’ Character, and that main character must have a pre-determined ‘main’ talent spec.
This is to prevent any confusion over loot, and to also ensure that all players gear up quickly and fairly.
Ordinarily re-rolling of spec or swapping mains is not allowed. In certain extreme circumstances where it is deemed to be more beneficial to the guild, it may be considered, but not without the prior consent of all the officers.
ACCOUNT TRADING
Account trading is STRICTLY prohibited; this includes buying, selling, ebaying, or any other form of account trading.
LEAVING THE GUILD
If you leave the guild for any reason, there is almost no chance you will ever be allowed to return.
Each case will be assessed on its relative merits individually by all the officers and under extreme mitigating circumstances a return may be permitted.
